ResearchI am currently an M.S. student in the University of Idaho Department of Fish and Wildlife Sciences working under Dr. Brian Kennedy. I am broadly interested in the ecology of freshwater and anadromous fishes, and their responses to shifting environmental conditions.
In collaboration with Dr. Kennedy, the Nez Perce tribe, and the Bureau of Reclamation, I am currently studying a wild population of endangered Clearwater River steelhead (Oncorhynchus mykiss). Broadly, our goal is to investigate the individual and population level impact of water withdrawal from juvenile steelhead rearing streams. My research focuses on the influence of individual behaviors and external conditions on steelhead survival, growth, and life history strategies. Currently I am investigating how habitat selection and non-migratory dispersal influence individual growth. |
